The great fudge is a somewhat modern creation, dating only so far back as the late 19th century and originating in the USA. The common consensus is the 1st batch was a 'Fudged' attempt at making a caramel, then they realised this wasn't such a mistake after all.

All fudges available from Edinburgh Fudge are hand made using the techniques developed over the last 100 years, all fudges are still cooked in copper pan boilers to achieve the authentic taste.

Only recently has the modern twist been seen in fudge, until only a few years ago the standard vanilla, rum & raisin and chocolate would have been your choice. Now this has changed with such wonders as Vodka smoothie, Death by Chocolate and Baileys Irish cream.
